Spende geben.
Queer people are loudly involved in the protests in solidarity with
Palestine. Queer people also experience systematic disenfranchisement
and social oppression. At the same time, they are denied the basis for
solidarity in the face of Hamas‘ anti-queer policies, which are
sometimes equated with the attitudes of the majority of the Muslim
world. This is not to question the precarious situation of LGBTIA+
people here or there. At the same time, however, we would like to point
out the ambiguity of the argument that we call pinkwashing, i.e. the
positive portrayal of the queer community, for example of the Israeli
state, which cannot hide the national oppression of Palestinians. The
efforts of queer activists in this country oppose this false hostility.
This time at our Red Counter, we would like to take a look at the
situation of queer people in and for Palestine. Come along, join the
discussion! We look forward to it. This will be followed by our bar
evening until the bartender runs out of energy, and there will also be
something to eat for a donation.
