Also komm vorbei!
Milei has taken out the chainsaw. Social benefits, workers’ rights, universities and public institutions are under attack. The far-right government wants to transform Argentina at record speed – and workers, young people and the poor are supposed to pay the price.
But there is hope: Workers are striking, students are taking to the streets – and the FIT-U, a revolutionary socialist electoral alliance, is on the rise, currently polling at 10–15%. Alejandro Bodart (spokesperson for the MST), one of the four organisations that make up the FIT-U, is coming to Berlin on 3 October. Together with him, we want to discuss the current situation in Argentina, the resistance against Milei, and the opportunities and challenges facing the left!
Before the evening event, we are organising a full day of seminars on Argentina: from an introduction to Milei’s politics, to the crisis of Peronism and lessons from concrete workers’ struggles, to the student movement, youth resistance and the history of the revolutionary left.
There’s something for everyone: Whether you’d have to google “Peronism” first or can already tell the four parties of the FIT-U apart. Whether you’re interested in workers’ struggles, youth protests or revolutionary strategy. Whether Argentina is completely new political territory for you or you’ve been following it for a while. We’re bringing these questions together: How can Milei be defeated? How can the revolutionary left become the leading force in these struggles? And how can the rise of the FIT-U lead to the creation of a revolutionary party of tens of thousands of workers and young people that can challenge capitalism? So come along!

The FIT-U and the building of a revolutionary party
